Loss of a Friend and Colleague

On Wednesday, January 22nd we lost our amazing friend and colleague Nicole A. Gobel. She passed away surrounded by family and friends at Albany Med.

Nicole moved up from New Jersey 4 years ago with her husband Pete and two children, Riley (8) and Maxine (4) to come work with our team. She moved her because she wanted to be part of vibrant firm with a strong team environment and what we found very quickly was that she was a real leader in building our firm culture, she was a mentor and caretaker to all our team members and an amazing advisor to our clients.

We always remind our clients that if they have their health, they have everything, and they need to focus their energy on living their life and not worry about their finances – that is our job. Nicole was a great role model on living her life to the fullest and it’s hard to fathom the huge vacuum that will exist in our lives without her. I can safely say that I’m a better person because of Nicole and I feel very fortunate that she and her family decided to move the Capital region and for her to be part of our firm.

The best thing we can do is follow her lead and provide the love and care to everyone we come in contact, just as she did all her life.
